Technology and application of FTTH is developing rapidly. It has become one of the hot technology in the world. I participated in the FTTH project of ZhenJiang Telecom. Our work includes solution, testing and implementation in laboratory and field test. This paper roots in business projects of China telecom.First of all papers based on Ethernet Passive Optical Network, summed up the mainstream of current FTTx technology, PON standards of the status, and a brief description of the realization of the principle of the EPON, the key technical and technological superiority.Analysis of papers focused on the EPON access network applications. Docking of the status of network analysis, summed up the business application model, introduced EPON for China Telecom as the main means of access to reference standards, comparison of different EPON access network equipment in the user network programs, such as the operational capacity of the differences.EPON paper summarizes the implementation process of elements shows that the type of ONU equipment, business type, protocol requirements in the process of project elements, in order to verify EPON access network used in the feasibility, we have a single system and EPON interoperability such as different types of testing, the purpose of the test papers, test environment, programs and the results of a detailed description of the test article analyzes the EPON for commercial buildings in the realization of business provides a reference and foundation.Fiber-optic access network access is the development trend of the current EPON technology has been gradually mature, and declining cost, fully functional, both at home and abroad has been widely used, EPON technology will be applied more and more.
